With over 45 years experience in Municipal Government and as an advisor to and member of a Planning Board, I can bring to your jurisdiction the same expertise, dedication, experience and land use planning knowledge that has made the West Caldwell Board one of the most highly regarded in the State of New Jersey.

While serving on the Board it has been my privilege to have the confidence of our members to the extent that I will usually take the lead on the most difficult and complex applications, often drafting comprehensive Resolutions "on the fly" during the course of the meeting as the testimony is presented. I also have taken the lead in working with applicants at work session to help them better understand the goals and objectives set forth in the Master Plan of the community, and reaching a consensus that is in the best interests of the community while respecting the obligations, limitations and purposes of the Municipal Land Use Law.

As a certified instructor for the mandatory State of New Jersey land Use training program, I can assist Boards as well as private applicants in understanding the type and extent of testimony necessary to present a sound application or to review the merits of that application. My unique experience as a member of a Board, as well as providing technical expertise in the review of applications, and using that expertise to evaluate the merit of testimony presented to the Board, can provide valuable guidance to both Boards and applicants, whether in the areas of presenting a sound application to the appropriate Board, reviewing and updating the elements of your Master Plan, providing services to the judicial system for case management, or assisting a Board during the intensity of a formal hearing.

In addition to my work in New Jersey, since 2016 I have also served the City of Havre de Grace in Maryland as the Director of Planning, and now as the Technical Adviser for Special Projeccts in the Office of the Mayor, on a part-time basis.
